When I'm not crafting I like to read  Something that may take my interest something crafty or maybe nothing to do with craft  What's on my kindle well a mx at moment  I bought a couple of books before Christmas to get me in the mood for Christmas one called the chocolate lovers Christmas about a group of girls that meet up and eat lots of chocolate sounded yummy to me . It's all about the group of girls and what goes on in there lives . By carol Mathews  The carry on from this book has just come out in paper back called the chocolate lovers wedding so just down loaded on my kindle can't wait to read it . Taking photos is something I do all the time  When you first start in the handmade business you can't go out and employ a professional photographer to take your pictures you have to do it all your self . Things have changed a lot since I first started my problem is I would work all day on the things  I made and couldn't wait to show them . Trying to take pictures at night was a big problem so much help now but I always found natural light was the best . The time I wasted trying to find the best place to take pictures more time than it took to make them . Think I have worked my way through a few cameras funny some I broke dropping them oops . I use my iPad a lot now find it easier and my subjects are a little bigger than the bag charms I photographed before so easy as photos are instant for the fast pace of social media like Facebook . Also have what I call a proper camera but the process of down loading the pictures on to my old laptop is time consuming . I am working on a cale

Way back when I started  I never thought I would ever sell what I make and still can't be leave it but I do . Artistic talent I have and love making things but making a business out of it is a completely different thing .  You are always seeking for perfection is true the times I have undone something because I wasn't happy with it takes so much time . I have been known to give things away if not to my standard , still do this now I have a place called the reject pile . Took me a long time to separate hobby and business ! You make your beautiful items then you have to sell them ! Building your customer base and learning social media becomes an everyday thing ,  I remember when I first filled my tax form in what a night mare ! Hello  A lot happened since my last blog . I am feeling very sorry for my self as full of a cold that I can't shake off. think as you get older it's not easy to get rid of the viruses . My dads 82  and look absolutely fab for his age ,he says it something he has to work at keeping him self healthy,he has a lot of ailments and takes 16 tablets a day !! . Not all doom and gloom managed get away to Chester over Easter, really enjoyed our stay lovely hotel at the side of the canal Called The Mill if you ever visit give it a try it's always booked up very popular place . When we got back felt refreshed had a million ideas in my head but knew I had lots to do first . Still monkeys to finish ,Avon to do , been decorating my kitchen and still not finished , and my little grandson Joe look after . When I was younger I was alway decorating now it takes me for ever .
