Business or hobby

Way back when I started 

I never thought I would ever sell what I make and still can't be leave it but I do .
Artistic talent I have and love making things but making a business out of it is a completely different thing . 
You are always seeking for perfection is true the times I have undone something because I wasn't happy with it takes so much time .
I have been known to give things away if not to my standard , still do this now I have a place called the reject pile .
Took me a long time to separate hobby and business ! You make your beautiful items then you have to sell them ! Building your customer base and learning social media becomes an everyday thing , 
I remember when I first filled my tax form in what a night mare ! Hadn't got a clue things are better now but so many things to think about .
Other things get in the way when all you want to do is create can be very frustrating .
I have been known to sew till early hours to get something finished but it dose start to affect you lack of sleeps not good for a creative mind .

I get asked all the time how did you make that  do you know  couldn't tell you well could tell you the basics but it's my sock monkey or what ever I'm making . You tube is a good place to start if anyone wants to have a go there's some great videos like this one .

Speaking of reading I pick up lots of interesting things I do put lots of craft and DIY ideas on my Facebook page and any crafty business realated things so worth liking jas crafty and DIY moments may see something your interested in .(my places in side bar) just for fun I do put pictures of my monkeys on and all my DIY projects like my kitchen I'm still doing .

What I'm working on 
Well it all monkeys at the moment trying to make a batch for selling as I just mainly do orders have some lovely customers who buy my monkeys , Just had a commission for some bag charms for a lovely lady who has her own little bag business she's on Facebook she's called sew nicely done makes very nice bags .

Hoping this will result in further orders as she's very pleased with the results so very happy .

I don't make bag charms now when I look back my designs may have been a little over the top but that's me these are quite simple . You can find tutorials on how to make glass tiles for pendants also on you tube .

I am hoping to do more of the art dolls but need a little more time than I have at the moment but one day ! I did a sock man  but took ages to make now this is something you can't get help with tell you more but can't wait to use my artistic talents on these ! thought I would start with one that looks like me without the wrinkles haha .

All made out of socks ,felt and ribbon for his tie it was a leaving present I thought it looked like the teacher mr T as he was Nick named . gone off to take up his career in being an artist .
Only other was a Dr Who made before this one but what fun .

Hello Well I had a walk the other day ! I am only a small distance away from where I lived as a girl and my hubby lived just in the next street when we was courting but that’s another story. I had to go to the post office with a parcel bit of a walk not sure they like their jobs as they never look happy, I always thought you greeted customers with a smile well that’s how it was when I worked in a shop but that’s another story. Walking back my leg was aching but had to go to doctors not for my leg they said that it could be osteoporosis just gave me pain killers to go with the high blood presser not good but that’s another story. Our case went missing at the airport

 Yes our case went missing well my husbands case.  Just glad it wasn’t mine! We went to Tenerife for a 9 day holiday.  I am not good on flying get travel sick but I was fine.Then on the Monday I got a tummy bug so went off my food a bit still didn’t feel right on the Thursday when we was coming home.  I took some dolls with me took some fantastic pictures beautiful place. So you can see why I’m glad it wasnt my case. But no body wants to lose a case!  But the funny thing is The flight seemed long and the plain was packed, only one other guy got on the coach to the airport and mick noticed his case was very much like his. We was very releaved to touch down at Manchester.  This is where it went strange there was a very long que at passport control and took forever we had rushed to get there quick. A Bit Of DIY

  To Day  Yes I have been doing a spot of DIY. My small projects become big ones as in my head they don't seem that difficult to do. I had a new boiler fitted before Christmas but unfortunately it left a very unsightly hole in the ceiling and ugerly pipes showing I thought I can do that easy mmmm . Now your all thinking get hubby to do it !! You see I have always done all the DIY as my dad was a decorator by trade I would watch him and learned a lot, plus I'm the artistic one and like decorating and things not sure about the painting after today! So I did it he did make me a box type thing to block the pipes in ? That wasn't the end of it had to reline the walls ,paper the ceiling, forgot regrouting the tiles and fill in a gap where the timer had been and it goes on . Painting ,more holes you get the idea not easy when all you want to do is the nice bit .
