That Doll part 3 I removed the dress and booties from the doll pretty cotton dress lace blue ribbon  and lace detail. Hard to say how the dress came to be on the doll mystery you could say the dress was handmade and fit the doll perfect ? When looking for dolls like the lady who she belonged to normally old dolls are missing there clothes and have to find new ones or make them this is the case with this doll. How long she had the doll is a mystery made in the 80s most dolls are girls. Looking in to the history Peggy nisbet made dolls of the royals small hard plastic dolls in traditional royal dress not a lot of information about the bigger fashion dolls made later by the house of nisbet. Only information I have is from three I found sold these dolls are hand crafted and made them unique even the clothes are hand made had white socks and plastic Cinderella ( make) shoes. That Doll part 2 Yes that Doll I decided wasn’t over keen on the lips I had repainted and the paint was still wet so removed it. The doll was still on my mind I listed it on Etsy still not sure where she had come from ? I was sure I had seen a doll like her when looking through vintage dolls. Trying to list her wasn’t easy kept saying error finally Listed I looked at the pictures it was late pictures looked fuzzy something was telling me It’s not right you know when you get a feeling about something and it won’t go away till you sort the problem that was this doll. That Doll  Beautiful Dolls I was lucky enough to find  some vintage dolls on the car boot sale . They didn’t seem to want this one go for a low price said it came from an old lady who had passed away leaving a collection of vintage dolls. I bought a couple from them the week before then had gone back following week this doll was still on the stall looking at me saying buy me. Very dark eyes Pale skin and blonde hair. I had to have her even though she had a big pen mark at the side of her face near the eye. After a haggle they let me buy her the dress she was wearing was lovely cotton and lace with blue ribbon trim blue buttons. Renovating dolls is a new thing for me but had removed ink before so knew I could remove the ink from her face. Hello Well I had a walk the other day ! I am only a small distance away from where I lived as a girl and my hubby lived just in the next street when we was courting but that’s another story. I had to go to the post office with a parcel bit of a walk not sure they like their jobs as they never look happy, I always thought you greeted customers with a smile well that’s how it was when I worked in a shop but that’s another story. Walking back my leg was aching but had to go to doctors not for my leg they said that it could be osteoporosis just gave me pain killers to go with the high blood presser not good but that’s another story. I decided to walk by where I lived as a girl I remember playing handstands on the wall the houses where quite new when we moved in, my friend Jackie broke her collar bone doing a handstand but that’s another story. Hello its me your probably wondering why I’m back on google blogger it’s a long story but here I am. Been over a year since I was last here and lots has changed even me. Monday’s Normally my busiest day much as I loved making sock monkeys it was getting harder for me and wanted to do something different so my new venture renovating dolls and teddy bears has started always had a passion for vintage. Also reselling on eBay vintage and new things and still an Avon rep so all going on. Still have lots of diy projects to do and let you know what I get up to and decorating my house. Yes a date with the ironing board 😩 My ironing seems to pile up and I tend to iron when needed . I am not a big fan of ironing and avoid doing it my hubby even irons his own work things lucky me !!  I am determined I'm going to get on top of it and have spent a good part of my day trying to catch up with my friend the ironing board . I don't know if you read my blog about me clearing out my wardrobe did quite a bit of ironing then but it's piled up again even though I got rid of a lot of clothes . I had all my summer things to sort out ! Can't really say we have had much of a summer so far nearly put the heating on a few times . You know when you tidy you find lots of things you forgot you had well iI have found lots of tops you know the ones that when you wash crease like mad yes you know ? What a lovely day out and a great day for a monkey adventure . Me and my hubby are trying to keep as fit as we can ,We had a  lovely walk at Pennington flash in Leigh Lancashire not far from where We live . Gorgeous lake and woodland area you can go bird watching  and take lovely walks along the track . We took some sandwiches  to have a picnic  Little windy but the sun came out was lovely .  I took along my rainbow monkey just call him monkey .Hes been on a few adventures with us he's a monkey climbing trees and getting up to mischief well maybe with a little help from us !! He's quite cute hopefully be featuring in my new monkey Calenders for 2017 he's already a star  Still working on the photos for this but here's this years for the month of July  His rainbow sister.
